The Nathan Abbott Team joined our brokerage, ResortQuest Real Estate, for a 2015 Awards Ceremony at the Emerald Coast Convention Center on Tuesday, March 8th, 2016. The theme of the ceremony was all about “connecting” and the importance of what that means in relationship with our customers, in order to provide the best possible service. Connecting is what the Nathan Abbott Team is all about. We understand that selling real estate is secondary to building strong relationships within our community and with visitors coming to the Emerald Coast to vacation or to find their permanent or part-time home or investment property.
Our team was humbled at this awards ceremony by receiving the award for “2015 Top Producers” within the ResortQuest family, with $41 million in sales and listing production for the year. Our ResortQuest broker Carmela Bell, thanked Nathan and the team for our level of excellent service, energy and drive in setting a great example of achievement and service in the industry. In addition, one of our newest agents with the team, Annie Belter, was awarded as the “2015 Rookie of the Year.” Annie closed out 2015 with $1,788,500 in sales. She continues to raise the banner higher with $1,562,500 in closed and pending transactions already within these first few months of 2016!

Our updated website is “responsive web design” to those of you who prefer to use a mobile app to gather information. What that means, if you are not familiar with the term – our website can now be viewed on any device from your widescreen desk monitor to your mobile phone screen (and anything in-between), and the content will automatically resize to adapt to the size of your screen, making it much easier to view the information you want – when you want it. Responsive web design (RWD) is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing and interaction experience along with increased search engine optimization.

For the first quarter of 2014, single family home sales in Walton County, Florida increased about 7.5% – 13.67% from 2013 to 21.26% 2014 Q1. Total home sales increased as well as total dollar volume. Walton County condominium sales increased 9.58% with a 40.1% increase in volume.
These statistics tell us that from January through March 2014, Walton County saw a nice increase in real estate sales. If the market keeps this trend and you own property in Walton County, 2014 may be the perfect year for you to sell.

In Okaloosa County there was actually a decrease in both home and condominium sales during the first quarter of 2014. There were 14 less Gulf front condominiums sells in Destin compared to the first quarter of 2013. However, the average price per square foot increased $22, average total price increased $53,284 and the condos were on the market an average of 37 days less . In Miramar Beach there were only four less Gulf front condominium sells compared to the first quarter of 2013. The average price per square increased $44, average total price increased $103,587 and the condos were on the market an average of 66 days less. For Bay County, single family home sales increased 25.24% and 29.59% in volume. While the single family home statistics increased, condominium sales actually decreased over the first quarter by 13.85% and 4.8% in volume.
Nationwide, existing-home sales remained level in March while home prices saw moderate growth, according to a recent report by the National Association of REALTORS (NAR).
